PhilWeb launches PAGCOR Homeplay, the first and only online casino in the Philippines.
PhilWeb entered into an agreement with MegaSportsWorld, the only sportsbook licensed by PAGCOR, under which PhilWeb will offer online betting on a wide range of local and international sporting and other events through its PeGS network.
PhilWeb acquires a 32.5% stake in Acentic GmbH, a limited liability company headed in UK. Acentic is an international provider of digital and internet protocol (IP) converged services to hotels, tourism facilities, healthcare premises as well as to other facilities eligible for its services. Acentic has approximately 200,000 hotel rooms under contract, making it a leading hospitality service provider in Europe.

PhilWeb incorporates PhilWeb Mobile Lottery Corp. to operate mobile-based lottery games and other related mobile game offerings.

The 15 company owned Big Game Cafés have been offering punters MegaSportsWorld betting on PBA and NBA games, Soccer, Baseball, Boxing, the Superbowl and Formula 1 Racing among others. Punters can place their bets at Bigggame outlets located at Roxas Blvd (Coko), Mindanao Avenue, Pandacan, EDSA Extension, Pearl Plaza, M.H. Del Pilar, Doña Juana, España, Tomas Morato Avenue, Timog Avenue, Cebu, Negros and Mandaue.

PhilWeb concluded a joint venture agreement with 5P Corporation Ltd. of Cambodia for a Cambodian National Gaming License to operate Internet-based and mobile-based games of chance. 5P Corporation is a diversified company, which is controlled by Madam Hun Sen Ny, the sister of Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen.

PhilWeb declared its first ever dividend of ten centavos per share. The total dividend payment amounted to over P125 million, based on the total 1,257,922,603 outstanding shares of stock of the Company.

PhilWeb Asia-Pacific Corp., has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Simoung Group (SMG) to jointly develop and operate internet and mobile games of chance in Laos.

January
PhilWeb sets a record high net income at 709 million, 29% higher than the P 551 million achieved in 2009.
PhilWeb was awarded by Forbes Asia as one of the 200 best companies in Asia with market capitalization of less than US$1 Billion. PhilWeb also received a special award for extraordinary profitability. This was based on PhilWeb's Operating Ratio (Profit as a percent of Revenue) of 61%, which was the best of all the 200 honorees.

PeGS opened its pioneer sites in Pangasinan and Davao City.

PhilWeb gets mobile gaming license in East Timor. The license enables PhilWeb to immediately launch a suite of mobile games, including SMS-based instant win. These products will be launched under the brand name Gold Mobile.
PeGS opened its 200th café and established the first e-Games casinos in Caticlan and Makati. The Makati casino is the most upscale café in the country to date. The PeGS also established its presence in Mindanao with the opening of 4 new cafés in Kidapawan (North Cotabato), Tagum (Davao del Norte), Dapitan (Zamboanga del Norte), and Cagayan de Oro (Misamis Oriental).

PhilWeb Asia Pacific was awarded a mobile phone lottery license in conjunction with its local partner, Timor Holdings Lda.

PhilWeb Corporation was awarded a plaque of appreciation by the Bureau of Internal Revenue during the Premyo Sa Resibo Anniversary draw as gratitude for PSR’s contribution to the BIR tax collection advocacy.

PhilWeb Asia Pacific Timor Lda. signed a Joint Venture Agreement with Loteria Lorosae Lda. and acquired its scratch card license in exchange for 30% of the equity in the new scratch card company, PhilWeb Lorosae Lda.

PhilWeb Asia Pacific, through its 51% owned subsidiary, Guam Sweepstakes Corporation, launched its first sweepstakes café in Guam.
The first and only PeGS in Tarlac City began operations.
PSR started its venture into Social Networking (Twitter) as part of its acquisition program, aiming to interest and educate a new group of users to sustain PSR’s proper tax collection and declaration advocacy.

For the second year in a row, PhilWeb Corporation made it to Forbes Asia's 2011 Best Under a Billion list, the magazine's annual listing of the 200 best performing small- and medium-sized, publicly listed companies in Asia Pacific with sales under US$1 billion. PhilWeb was one of only three companies to garner an additional special award, as the Most Profitable Company among those that made the list.
PhiWeb Lorosae Lda. began selling scratch cards in late November.
The PeGS business achieved its highest daily Casino Win of Php 15.8 million on record.
PSR began to use Facebook as another tool for its acquisition program.

PhilWeb Lorosae Lda. sold one million scratch cards within its first month of operations.
The Kingdom of Cambodia’s Council of Ministers approved the Company’s gaming application for instant scratch and win cards and lottery. Subsequently, Gold Scratch and Win Co. Ltd. was established as a local Cambodian corporation.
Total gross bets for MegaSportsWorld amounted to a record high of P102M.
The PeGS business received a record high of Php 424 million for Gross Bets.
